- Board of Directors of the Cal Beta Housing Corporation for the last 23 years; currently the chairman of the board
- In 1994 was the chairman of the three day celebration of Cal Beta, SAE’s 100th anniversary

- Letter winner in both track and cross country
- President of Circle C Society; Board of Directors of Big C Society
- Member of the ASUC Athletic Council: We hired Pete Newell as Cal’s basketball coach; in 1959 our team won the NCAA Championship
- Member of Order of the Golden Bear and California Club
- Captain of Scabbard and Blade, Military Honor Society; Cadet Colonel of the Army ROTC
- Founder and President of the Pre-Legal Society
- Co-Chair with Cal Beta Jim Kidder in the successful campaign for a new Student Union now located in Sproul Plaza
- Graduated in 1955. After two years in the Army in Korea, returned in 1957 and entered Boalt Law School, graduating in 1960
- Co-Chair of the Class of 1955’s 50th reunion celebration in 2005
EMPLOYMENT
- Member of the United States Army Reserves for 23 years, retiring as a colonel in the Judge Advocate General Corps
- For over 50 years a practicing attorney in San Francisco. Currently an arbitrator and mediator in construction disputes; arbitrator in over 400 cases, mostly through the American Arbitration Association and the State of California Office of Administrative Hearings
- Past chairman of the Legal Advisory Committee of the Associated General Contractors of the State of California
- Past chairman of the Fidelity and Surety Committee and the Construction Law and Litigation Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
- Past president of Piedmont Community Church
- Served for two years as president of Piedmont High School Boosters Club, supporting high school athletics.
- Past president of Piedmont Swim Club
- Presently tutoring second grade Oakland intercity children in reading comprehension
